DAY 1 – 3: HANOI

On arrival in Hanoi your guide and driver will meet you for your private transfer to your hotel. After a day to recover and relax you'll begin a comprehensive journey through the historic and cultural heart of the city taking in the main highlights and some hidden gems. A particular highlight is bound to be the afternoon streetfood stroll where, in the company of a local expert you'll get to savour the best tastes of the Old Quarter.


Your guide and driver will transfer you to Halong Bay where you'll board your traditional junk boat that will take you out into the archipelago. You'll cruise through the unique ocean karst topography of less-explored Bai Tu Long Bay passing craggy peaks and small, beach-fringed islands. Dinner will be served on board where you can sit back, relax and watch the sun set behind the karst peaks of the bay.


After visiting a small fishing village in the morning, you will return back to Halong Bay harbour where your guide will meet you for your transfer back to Hanoi airport.

You will then fly to Hue, where you will be met by your local guide and transferred to your hotel.


Today your guide will meet you for a tour of Hue’s iconic landmarks; the Perfume River, the Imperial Citadel and the Thien Mu Pagoda. Travelling by boat presents the perfect mode of transport to enjoy these famous sights and provides some lovely views of the city. After a chance to explore both sites, the afternoon then sees you transferring by road to the imperial tombs of the Nguyen Dynasty, lying on the outskirts of the city.

DAY 6– 8: HOI AN

Travel overland to Hoi An via the Hai Van “Cloudy Pass”, a spectacular three-hour coastal drive with stunning views of the azure ocean and dazzling coastline of central Vietnam. Check in to the luxurious Four Seasons Nam Hai, one of Vietnam’s best hotels. Enjoy the beachside location or head into Hoi An for dinner.

You'll stay at The Nam Hai for 3 days with plenty of time to relax and enjoy the first-class service and amazing surroundings. During your stay there is a chance to try your hand at a cooking at a school run by a local family with three generations of cooking traditions behind them.


It's a short flight down to Ho Chi Minh City where you'll be based for 3 days. During your stay you'll enjoy an insider's tour of the backstreets and traditional markets of less-explored districts combined with a highlights tour of the city’s famous landmarks.

With your guide you'll also visit Cai Be an area in the Mekong Delta where you'll find charming pockets of rural life. You will pass locals selling fruits and vegetables, as well as fruit orchards, farm land, houses on stilts on the river side. Lunch is taken with a local family where you'll sample some Mekong Delta specialities, including delicious seasonal fruits.


Transfer to Ho Chi Minh City airport for your flight back home.
